The Institute of Communications and Information Technology is a specialized scientific training institution linked by its organizational structure to the Department of Communications and Information Technology, which aims to provide specialized technical training in the field of communications systems and information technology for technicians from the ranks of the Public Security Directorate (engineers / systems analysts / programmers). Training policies are implemented at the institute through the Institute Council, which is directly responsible for implementing these policies. An agreement was signed between the Public Security Directorate and the United Nations Development Fund for Women (UNIFEM) to establish (Cisco Academy) under the name of the Public Security Academy for Information and Communications Networks on 13/1/2016 AD. The institute was honored by the visit of His Royal Highness Crown Prince Al Hussein bin Abdullah II, may God protect him, where His Highness sponsored the opening of a number of specialized courses that contribute significantly to developing the capabilities of public security workers, namely courses in electronic protection, communication and the Internet for everything. The Public Security Directorate has created a number of specialized training programs and courses in order to keep pace with the rapid global developments and changes around us in order to prepare employees to enter the world of the Fourth Industrial Revolution.
